In 2005, Bethany UMC formed a Vision Team -- a small group of people charged with the task of articulating a long-term plan for ministry at our church. The team spent several months brainstorming the strengths, weaknesses, threats, and advantages of several key areas of ministry. After turning those observations into short- and long-term goals, the team brought a document to each committee and to the whole congregation for their consideration. After revisions were made, the Church Council approved the final document at their meeting on July 12, 2006.

This document, our 5-Year Ministry Plan, is a living document. As we accomplish tasks, they will be removed; as we discover new or additional needs, they will be added. The Vision Team will continue to meet, now with the task of making sure that this document remains before us. They will be responsible for seeing that various groups and committees are working on these goals.
