Prime Timers September Potluck

Bring a dish to share and your own table service / beverages will be provided.

Prime Timers is a Bethany fellowship group made up of adults who are somewhere in the "prime time" near or into retirement in their life journey. We meet on the third Saturday of each month, usually for a potluck supper and some kind of activity, and sometimes attend events as a group. We always welcome new faces!

Reflections Book Study

Our September selection is South of Broad by Pat Conroy. This book describes the experiences of a diverse group of high school seniors in Charleston, SC who are close friends and 1969 and reunite 20 years after leaving high school. Please join our discussion.

This group meets on the third Monday afternoon of each month.

Kathy Nelson will review "The Road to Wellville" by T.C. Boyle, a novel based on the life of Harvey Kellogg, a leader in the health movement in the early 1900's.

UMW Annual Gathering 2010

Saturday, October 2 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Venue: Mt. Zion UM Church, Janesville

Faith Bauman will be one of two keynote speakers addressing the mission theme of "Faith, Hope and Love in Action." This will be a presentation on her past mission work in India for 36 years with her husband, David. In addition to her presentation, you will learn about current missionaries, Michelle and John Pandian, and their Miracle Garden orphanage for the tsunami orphans in Tamil Nadu, India.

People often care about equality for persons of all sexual orientations and gender identities, they just don't know how to talk about it. BOL is designed to teach people how to share their stories in a way that builds connections and inspires others to take action.

Lunch will be provided and childcare is available; housing can also be arranged. A free will offering will be collected.
