Our History:
A Legacy of Community Impact
For decades, Bethany UMC has been a steady presence in our neighborhood - a place where people gather, serve, learn, and grow. Our congregation has always stepped forward when ministry required bold action: growing programs, supporting missions, and maintaining a building that serves far more than our Sunday worship.
Today, our building is used not only by our congregation but by a wide range of community partners. In addition to Sunday worship, an average of 100 people use our building each day, not including the students in The Playing Field. We’ve opened our doors to hundreds more neighbors who come here for large events like voting, concerts, and other special events. Our building is a form of outreach, a tangible expression of our commitment to serve our neighbors. Maintaining it is part of our ministry.
