Our Projects :

Learn More about the initiatives of the Capital Campaign

  • Our roof is aging, has hail damage, and has begun to leak, threatening the structure beneath and the ministries that happen inside.

This project will include gutters, gutter-guards, and downspouts to address the buildup of ice-dams and icicles, too.

  • Our elevator is critical to ensure the church is accessible to all. The current elevator has repeatedly had issues and we’ve been told that replacement parts will soon be unavailable. We want to replace the elevator on our terms, not when it unexpectedly fails.

We will keep the existing cab, but replace the doors, motor, hydraulic pump, electronics and other components. The overhauled elevator will add required safety features like sensors on the door so it can’t close if something is in the doorway.

  • The main restrooms across from the sanctuary are areas that are aging and should be updated to ensure we are best able to welcome our guests. (What room in your home do you make sure is in top condition when you are expecting guests?)

These bathrooms get heavy use on Sundays and throughout the week. This project will update the restrooms in a similar style to the second floor restroom that was remodeled a few years ago. Commercial grade toilets, two sinks in each restroom, new stalls, counter, floor tiles, and accessories are planned.

  • Key areas such as the Lobby, Sanctuary, Offices, Library, and Bell Room have aging and stained carpet that should be replaced to keep our church in good condition.

Where possible, we will install carpet floor tiles so individual replacement of stained or worn tiles is an option. The carpet floor tiles available today have been greatly improved since the original carpet tiles in the lobby were installed.

  • This space is the heart of our community gatherings, but echoes - poor acoustics limit its use.  Sound-dampening floor tiles (designed for food service areas) will greatly enhance sound quality, making it more welcoming for events and fellowship.

  • We want to ensure we are being welcoming to guests by adding signs to help them find their way, and fresh coats of paint to help maintain the appearance of the church.

  • Our Library is currently underutilized. To improve the functionality of this valuable space, we will update the room with furnishings that are easily adaptable to the changing needs of meetings and small gatherings.

We’re planning for comfortable seating and small tables that can easily be moved around. The room can be arranged as separate tables for 4-6 people, or tables can be combined to make a large table. This versatile seating will also provide a few more tables for conversation during fellowship time and individual work surfaces for the many folks who use laptops in the Library.

  • As stewards of Creation, we want to reduce our environmental impact by installing solar panels. This will also reduce our electricity expenses - enough to pay for the installation in 10 to 11 years. As stewards of Creation and as a congregation guided by hope for the future, this investment reflects both our faith and our responsibility.

The solar panels will reduce uncertainty associated with rising electricity prices for years to come. The solar panels can be installed on the education wing after the roof is replaced. These projects do not need to be done concurrently.
