welcome to Bethany UMC

Worship Sundays 10am
In person and Online

We are happy to have you here.

If this is your first visit with us for worship, or you are joining us for any programs, here’s a few things about Bethany UMC that will help you get acquainted before you arrive.

Who We Are

The main entrance and parking lot are on the opposite side of the church from Mineral Point Road. The parking lot can be accessed either directly from Mineral Point or from Larkin Street on the east side of the church.

Four handicap spots are located just east of the portico. On either side of the steps from the parking lot there are spots reserved for those with small children, guests and seniors. For those who are able, please leave the parking spaces closer to the building entrances open for people who may benefit from a more convenient spot. Parking is also available on Larkin Street and on Mineral Point Road in front of the church.

Arriving At Bethany

Inclusion

We take seriously the United Methodist Social Principles and seek to be active in our local and global communities. To accomplish this, we partner with several organizations to join in the good work God is already up to within them. For more information on our community work, click here.

Service

your First Visit

We believe that all of us are on a journey. All of us have opportunities to grow in our faith and understanding throughout life. Careful reflection upon scripture, tradition, experience, and reason help us in this growth.  At the most basic level, we believe that a vital Christian faith consists of loving God and loving our neighbor.

As a part of the United Methodist family of churches, we embrace with enthusiasm our denominational creed of “Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors.”  All of God’s children are welcome to worship with us, study with us, and grow with us. Here at Bethany it is our purpose and vision to help every person know, feel and share God’s love.

Our Faith

We LOVE kids at Bethany! From nursery age to teenagers, there’s something for everyone here. Kids are always welcome in worship and we also have age-level programs during worship run by our amazing staff and volunteers. For more information, click here.

Since 2002, Bethany UMC has been a Reconciling Congregation which, simply put, it means that we welcome people of all sexual orientations and gender identities to worship at Bethany and be a part of our church family. We take this commitment seriously and believe it to be central to our faith. For more information on our journey towards inclusion,
